OUR CRAFT IS A FAMILY AFFAIR
We’ve been in the business for over 30 years. Karigari was founded in the Jammu region and is famous for its local artisans and craftsmen producing Kashmiri shawls. We have maintained close ties to the community, allowing us to source the finest materials and produce the most stunning handmade pieces.
ETHICALLY SOURCED & CRUELTY FREE.
Each of our pieces are carefully crafted using soft Pashmina wool, a premium variety of the beloved cashmere wool. We source our wool ethically from the Changthangi goat, which develop a thick and luxuriously soft coat during the winter. We use the wool that they shed during the warmer summer months in the production of our products in line with our cruelty-free philosophy.
TRADITIONAL PRACTICES, CONTEMPORARY DESIGNS
All our scarves and shawls are handmade in line with traditional artisanal practices of Kashmiri production but with a modern twist. Each craftsman puts many hours of work and care into the production of every piece, focusing on carefully creating a one-of-a-kind treasure with beautiful embroidered accents and a truly contemporary design.
